July 2011 - EBLEX Most Improved Herd Award Winner

Hawkley Red Angus herd wins EBLEX Most Improved Herd Award for the Aberdeen Angus breed for 2011. This award goes to the recorded herd that shows the greatest genetic gain for commercial traits over a 12 month period. This is the first time a Red Angus herd has won the EBLEX award.

Genus Breeding Ltd have purchased two yearling South Devon bulls in July 2011, for semen collection for worldwide distribution.

March 2011 - Border Leicester's Exported to Switzerland

Two Frensham Border Leicester rams were exported to Switzerland in March 2011 and en route were exhibited on the British Paviliion at the Paris Agricultural Show, where they attracted great interest.

October 2010 - South Devon Society Autumn Show and Sale

Hawkley South Devon heifer - Hawkley Dairymaid 31 won the Bristol Sales Centre Perpetual Challenge Trophy for the female South Devon gaining most points on inspection and performance.
